PROBLEM
Achieving a truly immersive experience when gaming at home has been too complex and too expensive.
SOLUTION
With this innovation, you get really immersed in your computer games at an affordable price, just using your regular software and hardware.
STEP INTO A LARGER WORLD
The jDome concept saw the light of day in 2005 when founder and entrepreneur John Nilsson realized it was actually possible to build a foldable miniature version of the OmnIMAX® theater dome concept that could be placed in consumers’ own homes.
By aiming a projector at the back side of the jDome, the user in front of it experiences a unique, stunning and immersive adventure within the 3D-world displayed, just using regular games and projector hardware.
John also discovered that by enlarging a parameter – the Field of View (FOV) – in regular games or simulation software, the user could see nine times more of the simulated world without the same amount of fish eye (wide-angle) effect, which you would getwhen enlarging the same parameter on a normal screen.
